Won by One, Grace Community Fellowship, & Harmons Hope
Harmons, Jamaica
Won By One To Jamaica’s ministry is focused in Harmons, Jamaica – a rural community located in the mountains. Because of its remote location and lack of running water, life in Harmons is often difficult. Won By One to Jamaica is part of a long-term solution that allows residents to improve their own quality of life through medical initiatives, economic development, education, leadership development, and discipleship.
Each year, people from The Crossing take at least three trips to Jamaica. High schoolers and their parents or caregivers go in the summer, and college students go during their winter and spring breaks. On these trips, people from The Crossing get to know more about Harmons, Jamaica, as they meet the people, help build houses, show compassion to people in the infirmary, and worship alongside them.
Grace Community Fellowship started in May 2012 and is now a vibrant church in Harmons that has ministries for women, children, and men. The church grew so much that they built a new building to serve the community in 2023.
