WBS Summer 2020 - Thurs AM - Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery by Eric Metaxas

Amazing Grace tells the remarkable story of British abolitionist William Wilberforce, and chronicles his extraordinary role as a human rights activist, cultural reformer, and member of Parliament, and those who assisted him along the way. His passionate 20-year fight to abolish the British slave trade, as well as slavery itself in the British colonies, truly changed the world. Enjoy spending some of your summer getting to know a man who was not only a hero to Abraham Lincoln, but an inspiration to the anti-slavery movement in America. During our third meeting together, we’ll enjoy watching the feature film Amazing Grace, based on Wilberforce’s life.
