We have programming for newborns through fifth graders.

Every Sunday, parents register children, ages infants through fifth grade, at a check-in station. They will then receive a computer-generated name tag and security code tag for each individual child for the parent to keep and use to pick up their child.  On both of these tags, a random security number will appear. Parents must turn in their security code tag and it MUST match the tag on the child in order to pick up their child. A classroom team member at the door will collect the security code tag and initial the child’s name from the roster once he/she has left safely with the parent.

If you lose your tag, you can bring your ID to the Crossing Kids desk, we will verify your identity, and print a new tag.

Each Sunday, children, beginning with toddlers, will have a fun-filled morning with a lesson, snack, and engaging activities. The lessons and activities are planned with each age group and their own needs in mind. Infants and crawlers will be cared for and have all their needs met.

We regularly have one-time seminars called Legacy Classes that focus on specific parenting challenges parents might have throughout their journey. The Crossing also has parenting classes available throughout the year.

Crossing Kids also hosts events for the whole family including Fall Fest, Family Christmas, Family Easter, and Kids Club!

Yes! We have small groups for fourth and fifth graders. They meet on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year. If your fourth or fifth grader attends on Sundays, you’ll get an email when it’s time to register.

One of our main goals as a ministry is to make sure that your child is safe and secure on Sunday mornings. Here are the safety precautions and policies we’ve set to meet that goal:

•  Screening Volunteers: All Children’s Ministry volunteers are screened using an application, national background check, and personal meeting with the children’s ministry staff.

• Two Deep Policy: There must be at least two volunteers (or a volunteer and parent) in the children’s classrooms at all times.

•  Bathroom Policy: Volunteers must avoid going into the bathroom with a child, if possible. If a child needs help, they are to leave the stall door open and the bathroom door open (if possible). Only women volunteers may take girls to the bathroom.

The Parent Connection newsletter gives you access to what your kids (infants through 5th graders) are seeing, hearing, and doing on Sunday mornings in Crossing Kids. We will also keep you up to date on new events, classes, and resources offered throughout the year. Engage in meaningful conversation as a family each week as you spend time reflecting on our Sunday morning lessons together.
